29 Mar Re-Dedication of England to Mary as her Dowry
At 12 noon, in union with the whole Church in this country, we made the re-dedication of England to Mary.
Since we were founded specifically to pray for England and its return to Catholic faith it has been our custom, in fact, to renew this dedication even year, originally on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary but, more recently, on the feast of Our Lady of Walsingham.
The stained glass window in our Ante-choir depicts the prayer of Carmel rising like incense over England. We pray to be faithful to this calling.
May our whole nation know the powerful protection of Mary in these challenging days as the coronavirus pandemic changes all our lives, imposing sacrifice and calling forth acts of generosity. Even in the midst of illness and death, perhaps God is healing his people in ways we could never have imagined.
