Today, following her requiem Mass at 2pm Sr Mary of Christ will be laid to rest in our cemetery. Yesterday evening the community solemnly processed with the coffin from the Oratory to the choir where sister was placed between the Advent wreath and the paschal candle, two symbols of the Light of Christ. Our sister is once more among us as we recite the Office of the Dead for the repose of her soul. Sister was the oldest Carmelite in England and the last of her generation here at Notting Hill. Please keep her, and the Community in your prayers. Her obituary will follow shortly.
