07 Nov HOLY SOULS – Day 7
Sr Teresa of Jesus – Marthe Teyssier de Savy – was born in 1850 and entered Carmel in Paris with the express desire to join in the Foundation of the London Carmel of which she had already heard. She made her Profession only a few weeks before the sisters set out, so was still only a professed novice at the time. She had noted artistic talents which were a valuable asset in the community. She also had the energy and enthusiasm to take an eager part in any community activities, and led the way for future novices in this respect. She was Sacristan for many years, and died March 22nd in 1924.
