We have been very busy and I apologise for the late podcast. Amidst all the lovely feast days we have celebrated there has been work going on to erect a covered walkway from the house to the laundry and outside buildings. Once again we have been blessed with very nice and skilled workmen, and unusually good weather.
On September 29th we celebrated the Anniversary of our Foundation day. In the afternoon we processed around the monastery to all the different shrines singing the litany. Mother Prioress followed behind and blessed all the house with holy water. The shrines were beautifully decorated, especially St Michael, and we concluded the procession in the choir with the singing of the Te Deum. Then we had the celebration of St Therese of Lisieux followed by the Holy Angels.
Hopefully the men will be finished by next week, weather permitting, as the community will begin a quiet seven day retreat as we approach the Solemnity of Our Holy Mother St Teresa of Avila and the concluding of her 500 year celebrations. May she bring down many blessings upon us all in this her special year.
