Our thanks to all who have donated to pancreatic cancer research through the purchase of Never Lose Hope. The sum raised so far is £200. Some queries prompted us to investigate the ethical stance of the research programme and we were reassured by the following reply.

Congratulations on the wonderful sum raised so far. People can be very generous.

The research projects we fund do not use embryos. A lot of the work is done with pancreatic cancer cells taken from patients’ tumours; some is done with mice; and some will be done in clinical trials with pancreatic cancer patients.
