Today, 134 years ago, our monastery was founded from Paris. We remember the event with a procession round the house, blessing the various rooms as was done on the foundation day. As Cardinal Manning turned to leave after establishing the enclosure he said to the little band of founding sisters, “Now, sanctify your walls”. We give thanks today for the generations of sisters down the years who have done just that. Pray for us that we may preserve and carry forward the rich legacy we have inherited.
