28 Sep 140th Anniversary of Foundation 1878 – September 29th – 2018
140 years ago the little band of Carmelites arrived from Paris. Aware of all that we owe to their courage and perseverance we strive to carry forward their legacy, in lives of quiet prayer and sacrifice, while the city bustles around us.
We ask your prayer that we may be faithful daughters of St Teresa, perpetuating her spirit in the Church of today. As she encouraged her sisters to offer themselves in support of the Church torn apart in her time by the conflicts of the Reformation, so we offer ourselves in support of a Church that is experiencing its own internal crisis, experiencing pain, shame and division.
On the evening this special anniversary we will begin our annual retreat and during this time of renewal you will be remembered in our prayer.
